Jazz Age 7- Jazz Co.
The Jazz curriculum is based on classical and modern jazz technique, focusing on flexibility, rhythm, extension, balance, speed, and strong movement, preparing students for a lifetime of dancing.

Levels
Foundational/Fundamental (formerly (I/II) This is our beginning jazz level where students are first learning the beginnings of the style.
Progressive/Preparatory (formerly III/IV) This is where students are really beginning to polish their movements, get into the technique (through ballet) and learn more of the different styles.
Jazz Company– This is our highest level of Jazz dancers at the school who are accomplished in both the technical aspects of jazz along with the movements.

**Because separate technique classes are not a part of the jazz curriculum, jazz dancers not enrolled in ballet will need to take a ballet class starting at the Progressive level through the Company level.**

Tap Age 7- Elite
These classes teach rhythm, coordination, basic tap terminology and choreography.  This class is designed to refine tap skills, while moving beyond fundamentals of tap.  Students will put the fundamentals to work by learning new steps, rhythms, patterns, and combinations.

Levels
Foundational/Fundamental (formerly I-II) This is our beginning level where dancers start new or come up from our pre-tap programs. Students with no to little experience can start their tap journey learning more of the technique and steps.
Progressive (formerly (III) This level brings in more complicated patterns and combinations while polishing the movements the dancers already learned.
Intermediate-Elite (formerly (Int-Adv) This is our highest level of tap where dancers can continue to build on their previous knowledge, while learning even more advanced steps and incorporating them into more complicated choreography.

**Students must be 7 before September 1st to begin during the schoolyear or the previous summer.**
