Recital Ready
Be sure you have everything you need!

What to Bring
Dress Rehearsal Only
Dancers will receive an information sheet with their call time.
This year photos will be taken at Dress Rehearsal! Do not do stage makeup, but just light picture makeup if you desire (no red lipstick).
All dancers need to have a water bottle labeled with their name and a snack that will not stain or get sticky on their clothes, and please do not bring peanuts as there are allergies in the studio. If your dancer has to come for both sessions of dress rehearsal send them with a packed dinner to eat. You will not be able to take them anywhere to eat, as there is not time. It still cannot be sticky or be staining.
Dancers may bring things to do while they wait backstage, but the studio is not responsible for any lost or stolen items!! If your child brings expensive electronics or other valuable/sentimental items, we cannot keep track of them!
Shoes should have the dancer’s name written on them so that they are not mixed up with another dancer’s belongings. We will keep their dance shoes at dress rehearsal, so please be sure they wear other shoes into the building. Dance shoes should NEVER be worn outdoors.
Female dancers with more than one class MUST wear a nude leotard Male dancers MUST wear assigned undershirt or they will not perform!! Do not wear underwear under leotards. Leotards are like swimsuits, and underwear can show or make lines in the costume.
If tights come with your dancer’s costume, the tights must be worn.
If your dancer’s costume comes home with them, make sure they are wearing it and all accessories!
Recital Only
Dancers will receive an information sheet with their call time.
All dancers need to have a water bottle labeled with their name, please do not bring food or snacks, the recital will be less than an hour and a half.
Dancers need to be wearing their complete costume, and all hair-pieces/accessories. Do not wear underwear under a leotard! Leotards are like swimsuits and you do not want underwear showing on turns, or making the costume lumpy.
If they don’t have a costume sent home, female dancers with more than one class must be wearing their nude leo, with warm-ups over the top. Do not arrive to the venue in only a nude leo! Male dancers will be sent home with part of their first costume, but they must wear their assigned undershirt! Costume changes back-stage need our dancers to be wearing something under their costume.
Hair and makeup needs to be ready for stage. Boys can wear stage makeup if they choose, but it is not required, and their hair needs to be out of their face. If their hair is long enough to fall in their eyes it needs to be pulled back.
Please see class sections below for girls’ hair and makeup.
